About Jay
After graduating from Wesleyan University, Jay Ericson moved west, spending the next ten years living and working in California and Montana. While working as a fly fishing and backpacking guide in Yosemite, Jay discovered that his passion and true talent lie
in photography. With a graduate degree from the University of Montana and five years of freelance and staff photography experience under his belt he headed back east.
Today Jay lives in Vermont with his wife and three children. He shoots with a naturalistic approach that reflects the easygoing lifestyle of the places he has lived. Over the years his career has provided him the opportunity to work with brands, publications, and organizations large and small. He brings a high level of professionalism and broad experience to each project he works on. A selection of clients includes Patagonia, Outside, New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Alaska Airlines, Deuter, REI, Men’s Journal, The Drake, High Country News, Run Vermont, and Vermont College of Fine Arts.
